Privacy Policy

Last updated October 20, 2026 Questions: privacy@fides.lol

This policy explains what personal information Fides collects, why, who sees it, and what you can do about it.

What we collect

  • Log in details: your email, name and profile picture from Google. We never see your Google password.
  • Profile details: the username, display name, date of birth and gender you give us when you set up your account, and how you heard about Fides.
  • Purchases and balance: your Fids balance, top ups, purchases, plan status and receipts. Payment processors collect and hold your card details. Fides does not store full card numbers.
  • Store details: if you sell, what you tell us about your store and products, and links you add such as social media accounts, and the results of our reviews.
  • Payout details: if you withdraw revenue, Stripe collects your identity and bank details to verify you and pay you. We receive your verification status and the limited details we need to pay you and meet legal duties.
  • Device and usage data: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed and error logs.
  • Cookies: small files that keep you logged in and your account secure.
  • Messages: what you send to support.

What is public

Your username, display name, profile picture and how long you have been a member appear on your public profile. If you have not set a picture, the default one depends on the gender you chose. Your email and date of birth are never shown publicly. Anything public can be copied by others, and we cannot control or remove those copies.

How we use it

  • to create and secure your account and process payments;
  • to deliver what you buy and provide support;
  • to calculate and pay seller revenue and handle taxes;
  • to review stores and payouts, including an automatic, AI-supported check of what a store plans to sell;
  • to prevent fraud and abuse and keep Fides safe;
  • to understand and improve Fides;
  • to send service messages, and marketing only where you have agreed or the law allows;
  • to meet legal obligations.

Who we share it with

  • Payment and payout providers, such as Stripe, that process payments, verify sellers and send payouts.
  • Sellers, who get the order details they need to deliver what you bought, such as your username.
  • Service providers for hosting, database, email and security, who may use data only on our behalf.
  • Authorities, advisers and fraud-prevention partners when the law requires it, or to protect rights and safety and prevent fraud.
  • A successor if Fides is part of a merger, sale or similar change.

We do not sell your personal information.

Our legal bases

Where the law requires a legal basis, we rely on providing the service you asked for, our legitimate interests in security, fraud prevention and improving Fides, legal obligations, and your consent for marketing.

How long we keep it

We keep data while your account is open and as long as needed for the purposes above. After you close your account, we keep what we must for tax, accounting, fraud prevention and legal reasons, then delete or anonymize it. Copies in backups and logs may last a little longer before they are removed.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data, to object to or restrict some uses, to withdraw consent, and to complain to your data protection authority. To use these rights, email privacy@fides.lol. We may need to verify your identity first. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time with the link in the email or by writing to us, and you can manage cookies in your browser.

Children

Fides is for people aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13, and we will delete it if we learn we have. If you are between 13 and 17, you need a parent or guardian's consent to use Fides. A parent or guardian who believes their child gave us information without consent can contact us to have it removed.

Security

We protect your information with measures such as encryption in transit and access controls. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your information, we will tell you as the law requires.

International transfers

We and our providers may process your information in countries other than your own. Where required, we use safeguards such as standard contractual clauses for these transfers.

Other sites and services

Fides links to and works with other services, such as Google and Stripe, which have their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for how they handle your information.

Changes

We may update this policy. If a change is material, we will tell you before it takes effect.
