Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated October 20, 2026 Questions: support@fides.lol

Fides is for digital products and services. This policy covers what you can sell, what you can't, what needs a closer look, and how stores are reviewed. It is part of our Terms of Service.

What you can sell

Digital products and services that are legal, accurately described and yours to sell. For example:

  • software, apps, plugins, scripts and templates;
  • design assets such as UI kits, icons, fonts, illustrations and 3D models;
  • ebooks, guides, courses and other educational content;
  • music, audio, samples, video and photography you have the rights to;
  • game assets, and mods or add-ons where the game or platform allows them;
  • access to tools, APIs and communities that you run;
  • digital services you deliver online, such as design, development or editing work.

Whatever you sell, you must:

  • have the rights to sell it;
  • describe it honestly, with accurate features, screenshots and prices;
  • deliver what you promise and support it;
  • follow the law where you and your buyers are.

What is not allowed

These are prohibited. You cannot sell them on Fides, however they are packaged or described.

  • Illegal goods and services. Anything that breaks the law where you or your buyers are, including stolen goods and data, counterfeits, human trafficking and products made from endangered wildlife.
  • Pirated and infringing content. Cracked or leaked software, keygens, license key generators, DRM bypass tools, copied courses, and anything you do not have the rights to sell.
  • Malware and attack tools. Malware, ransomware, spyware, stalkerware, credential stealers, phishing kits, DDoS tools and exploit kits meant to harm others.
  • Stolen or private data. Leaked databases, doxxing, scraped lists of personal data, and people-search or tracking tools aimed at private individuals.
  • Fraud and deception. Fake IDs and documents, fake diplomas, fake reviews, followers or engagement, scams, pyramid and Ponzi schemes, and get-rich-quick or guaranteed-return offers.
  • Money and Fids. Selling, reselling or exchanging Fids, currency, crypto, gift cards or anything else that works as cash. Money transmission, escrow, lending and payment services. Listings that exist only to move Fids between accounts.
  • Sexual content. Pornography, sexually explicit material, escort and adult services, and sexual deepfakes. Sexual content involving minors is banned outright and reported to the authorities.
  • Violence and hate. Content that promotes violence, terrorism, extremism, self-harm, or hatred of people for who they are, and tools made for harassment or threats.
  • Weapons and dangerous instructions. Guides, files or blueprints for making weapons, ammunition or explosives, including 3D-printable firearm files, and instructions for making illegal drugs.
  • Drugs and unproven medicine. Illegal drugs and paraphernalia, prescription drugs, and miracle cures or health claims you cannot back up.
  • Real-money gambling. Casinos, sports betting, lotteries and anything that pays out money prizes by chance.
  • Spam and platform abuse. Bots and tools built for spam, fake engagement, mass messaging or ban evasion, and cheats or hacks that break the rules of third-party games or platforms.
  • Account trading. Selling or trading accounts, or access that you do not own.
  • Cheating services. Essay mills, exam answers and other work meant to be handed in as someone else's.
  • Physical goods. Fides is for digital products and services.
  • Anything our partners prohibit. Our payment and payout partners, such as Stripe, have their own lists of businesses they do not support. Those rules apply to you too.

What needs a closer look

These are not banned, but they carry more risk, so we review them in more depth before you can sell them. We look at your store, your products, who you are and how you run things, and we may ask you for more details.

  • Chance-based features. Loot boxes, social casino games, sweepstakes, and skill games with prizes.
  • Crypto and Web3. Tokens, NFTs, trading software, mining tools, and education about them.
  • Trading, investing and money advice. Signals, forex and stock courses, tax help, credit repair and debt relief.
  • Business and income programs. "Make money online" courses, dropshipping and affiliate coaching, and anything that makes income claims.
  • Health and wellness. Medical, mental health, supplement, weight loss and fitness programs, and telehealth tools.
  • Age-related content. Alcohol, vaping, tobacco, and cannabis or CBD information and software.
  • Dating and mature themes. Dating apps and services, and art or fiction with mature themes that is not sexually explicit.
  • Realistic AI media. Tools that clone voices or faces, generate realistic images or video of people, or run AI companions.
  • Dual-use tools. Security and testing tools, VPNs and proxies, scrapers and automation tools.
  • Resold access. License keys, subscriptions, API access or accounts that you resell.
  • Recurring and trial offers. Memberships, subscriptions and free trials.
  • Pre-orders. Products sold before they exist, and early access.
  • Fan content. Work based on existing brands, games or characters, which needs the rights holder's permission.
  • Donations and crowdfunding. Tips, fundraising and charity.
  • Education with promises. Courses or certificates that promise jobs, accreditation or guaranteed results.
  • Products for children. Apps and content aimed at children under 13.
  • Political content. Campaign tools and political advocacy products.

If you are not sure where your idea fits, email support@fides.lol before you build it. These lists are examples, not every case. Fides decides in its own discretion which category something falls into, and we may add to the lists at any time.

How stores are reviewed

Stores go through up to three checks. Passing a check does not mean we endorse your store or that it complies with the law. You stay responsible for what you sell.

Idea check

When you open a store, you describe what you plan to sell. An automatic, AI-supported check compares it with this policy, and it takes moments. Your store has to pass it before you can start selling for Fids.

First payout check

You do not need a Stripe account to open a store or sell for Fids. You need one only to withdraw your Fids revenue as USD. Once you connect a Stripe Connect account, verify your identity with Stripe, and your revenue reaches an eligible payout amount, your first withdrawal request is checked by our staff. A person looks over your store to see whether everything is in order, and that decides whether you can start withdrawing to your Stripe account.

Tip. Adding your social media accounts and other details that show who you are supports your case in these checks, by up to 72%.

If you would rather keep your revenue on Fides, you can spend it on other creators' products instead of withdrawing it.

Account check

From time to time we review accounts. Some are reviewed rarely and others more often, depending on activity and other information we have. You cannot withdraw while a review is running, and you can withdraw again once you pass. These reviews are usually quick.

Our approach

Fides may decline a store at its discretion, and when we find it risky we may not give a reason. But unlike other merchants of record, we do not close the door on you. We try to help you get your store up. If something is a problem, we tell you, and we share ways to fix it, workarounds and more.

We act on what is true, not on how something is named. Renaming a product, splitting it up or opening a new store to get around this policy is a breach of it. Information you give us, including during reviews, must be true and complete.

Enforcement

If a store or product breaks this policy, we may remove products, hold or reverse payouts, limit what a store can do, and suspend or close the store or account, as set out in the Terms of Service. We prefer to sort problems out with you first. Where activity is illegal, harmful or fraudulent, we act straight away and may report it to the authorities and to our payment partners. A store that has been removed may not come back under another name or account without our written approval.

We may carry out a review at any time, ask you for information or proof, and review your store again after changes. Review outcomes are decided by Fides, and no decision or delay is a promise that a later request will be approved.

Reporting and changes

To report a store or product, email support@fides.lol with enough detail for us to find it. We may update this policy as laws and our partners' requirements change. If a change is material, we will give notice before it takes effect.
